NECK•ONE | Music Tech Startup

Lead the introduction into the market of a new Brand Portable Music Player & create a new form of musical expression. Develop brand image & strategy, create a full scope campaign, including Mobile Connectivity platform, product & package design. Developed Product Manifesto, Vision, & Realization Strategy to guide the company moving forward. Collaborate in early-stage product design concepts, including usability + performance.

There were brand challenges to overcome : the obtrusive product design generated an initial hesitancy, we were facing a late market induction with no brand image nor stable presence, and counted on a low budget ($10k USD total).

My approach was simple : Music was never meant to be hidden. Music was Meant to be Heard. To be shared. To touch others & break stereotypes. To unite. To Express. The social ‘Norm’ is overrated. Hiding behind pods is conformity. Break all Barriers & Crack the Shell.

You are the music you choose to share. You become the moments you choose create. Because, in the end, we all become stories. That is the music we leave behind..Never Hide. Keep Loud.

Strategically I built Neck•One’s corporate backbone by reimagining the brand icon design to fit the story narrative focused on musical self-expression & identity.

I centered the approach to engage a full scope media presence in digital, and mobile formats, tailor product design & packaging, and created a manifesto as a guide stabilizing the brand for future growth, & develop a market strategy for product launch & renaming the production from necksound to Nek•One.

Through the print campaign, I gathered legendary photographs to show Music was Meant to be Heard, to be shared, and to inspire those it comes to contact with, by connecting great Music Impact Makers through a social media print-campaign strategy.
