WOO | NY.INK at TLC
In the days where tattoos were still socially stigmatized, the top show in The Learning Channel (TLC) wanted to shift the narrative and contracted me to create a Print & Social Campaign campaign to get the general public to see this ancient art form in a different light. My idea was to look deep into the source of tattoos, a part of you that has always lived within you, just there, skin-deep, of the same source yet, begging to come out, a story that desires telling.
How? By providing a new perspective.
“I am what lives in me.” was the core message which set the campaign in motion. The stories within (you) emerge through your skin through the ancient art of tattoos.
We set a call out across New York City asking tattooed city-dwellers to share their tats @ the Wooster Street Social Club, and be part of Woo.
